The most common examples are inverse reasoning, role-storming, and figure-storming. Inverse reasoning is when you think about what you do not want to happen. Role-storming is when you assume the role of someone else in the situation, such as a customer or competitor. Figure-storming is when you draw a picture of your problem's solution.
